Seeing little and completely isolated, she struggles to piece together what is happening and how to keep herself alive.

The story goes like this: on the canal bottom lies a secret, hidden door. Locked from the outside. Nobody remembers who put it there or why, but there’s a rhyme about a woman who locked her husband in and left him to die. Scratching, always scratching.

Mave’s research will take her and Lisa to the heart and history of the issue. It won’t be easy. Ghosts, a haunted well, ignorance, a flapping bird. What of the woman in green?

Despite the hurdles, Mave and Lisa aren’t shirkers. When the myth hits the fan, Kitten and Blonde hit the spot.

When everything goes horribly wrong, T prays that someone will get rid of the people who hurt him. Unfortunately, it isn’t God who answers his prayer. As people start dying, T wishes he could take back his prayer, but it may be too late for that.
